Annual Parent Show Hosted at Pothireamea Primary School: Showcasing Digital Education Achievements Under the IDEAL Project Intervention
Pothireamea Primary School grandly organized its annual student exhibition. This event was supported by the "Improving Digital Education for All Learners (IDEAL)" project, which is funded by ChorogUsan for Children and implemented by the Campaign for Education in Cambodia (KAPE). The event saw a total attendance of approximately 400 participants, including students, teachers, and parents.
Kandal Province: On July 7, 2026, Pothireamea Primary School in Koh Thom District, Kandal Province, grandly hosted its annual parent show. This event was organized with support from the "Improving Digital Education for All Learners (IDEAL)" project, which is financially funded by ChorogUsan for Children and implemented by the Kampuchea Action to Promote Education (KAPE) and participated by 400 students and parents/guardians .
Speaking at the event, Mr. Hin Simhuon, Vice Executive Director of KAPE, stated that the three-year IDEAL project runs from 2024 to 2026, supporting twelve target schools in Kandal Province and Phnom Penh. He further emphasized that Pothireamea Primary School has received substantial development through library improvements, internet connectivity installations, and the provision of technological equipment, including seven laptops, seven LCD projectors, one smart TV, and forty tablets. The exhibition was organized to showcase the students' achievements and creativity, as well as to provide an opportunity to share new experiences related to the use of ICT, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and digital learning.
During the parent show, eight study clubs displayed their outstanding achievements following the intervention of the IDEAL project. The Home Economics Club demonstrated practical life skills and household management, while the Library Club highlighted effective reading promotion strategies and book management. The Mathematics Club and Geography Club exhibited new research projects and study models that reflected the students' in-depth understanding of the subjects. Meanwhile, the ICT Club presented works related to digital literacy and technological problem-solving. Additionally, the Agricultural Skills Club showcased modern cultivation techniques, the Food Club displayed the art of cooking and nutrition, and the Dance Club concluded the showcase with vibrant cultural performances. The active participation and exhibition from all these study clubs serve as crucial capital for furthering education, developing digital skills, and enhancing future employability.
